Ballet & Choreography
Where it all began
You have to love dancing to stick to it. It gives you nothing back, no manuscripts to store away, no paintings to show on walls and maybe hang in museums, no poems to be printed and sold, nothing but that single fleeting moment when you feel alive.
Merce Cunningham
On stage since the age of three.
I started ballet when I was three years old, and I was blessed to share the stage with the best ballet and dance professionals.
Dancing is my way of expressing my feelings. I trained at the Arts College Constanța with the Bolshoi Theatre ballerina Motovilova and with Oleg Danovski at the “Oleg Danovski” Ballet Theatre, and danced as First Soloist Ballerina of the “Ion Dacian” Opera House in Bucharest.
From the stage to Monte Carlo
I’ve choreographed shows for the most prestigious artists in Romania, for television, circus acts and dance performers — and directed festival productions with more than two hundred performers on one stage.
Together with my group of dancers and circus acrobats, I received the Bronze Clown at the International Circus Festival of Monte Carlo — twice. It is the gala held every January where the top dancers and circus artists of the world perform.
Ballet, and teaching children
I’ve always returned to my first love… the love for ballet and teaching children. Ballet is about being better, being disciplined and hard-working; it is about becoming graceful, beautiful and healthy. It is the first step to every other dance style.
I was privileged to teach ballet in Europe, Australia and the United States. Seeing my students dance and express their emotions on stage is my biggest reward. Well done, kids!
